Clare joined Feed from the British Pregnancy Advisory Service, where she was chief executive. Over more than a decade at BPAS she worked to widen support for women’s reproductive autonomy and deliver the law, policy and services for women to exercise choice in pregnancy. Clare believes passionately in ensuring women have access to evidence-based information and support so they can make the decisions that are right for them and their families - ultimately they are the ones who know their own circumstances best.
Prior to joining BPAS, Clare worked as a heath reporter at the BBC with a particular interest in maternal health and rights. A long-term admirer of Feed and the women who have made it happen, Clare was absolutely delighted to be given the opportunity to join the team in 2024. She can’t think of a better place to be to shape policy and practice so that new mums have the information and options they need to pursue their chosen infant feeding journeys, and secure permanent change to ensure our own daughters are able to have empowered experiences when they start their own families in the future.
